Android has officially solidified its stranglehold on the smartphone market in South Africa, commanding nearly 40% market share – according to data by Heavy Chef.
There are over 1,600,000 apps in the Google Play Store and 1,500,000 apps in the Apple App Store (worldwide*).
As a result the vast majority of Developers only focus on developing apps for these two platforms – Android and iOS and rarely stress about Symbian and others.
