Scam Alert
Content and images from FNB:
1. You will receive an email informing you that your OTP service has successfully been deactivated. Fraudsters provide a link in the email for you to re-activate the OTP service.
2. When you select the link in the email, you will be redirected to a fake website that mimics fnb.co.za. In an attempt to steal your banking details you will be requested to login.
3. You will then be presented with a second login screen requesting your OTP (One Time PIN).
4. Another login screen will request your card number and ATM PIN.
5. When you enter your details on these screens, the fraudsters will be in a position to access your banking profile.
Remember, FNB will NEVER ask for your username, password or PIN in an email, SMS or phone call. Never select a link to our website that was sent via email. Always type in FNB’s web address. Report fraud on 087 575 9444.
